Until you read the book, it's hard to put into words what it will do to your life and outlook. Or maybe what I should say is that, I could describe this book perfectly to you, and you still won't get it until you read it for yourself. A friend gave me her copy because she felt so strongly that I should read it. She told me every few months I buy another copy, and every few months I end up giving it away to someone I think would be touched by it. I got it. Read it. And felt transformed. In the first few pages, I was a bit unimpressed and underwhelmed. Some things seemed unnecessarily redundant and nothing I haven't heard or read dozens of times from other self help gurus. But I trusted my friend enough, that I didn't think she would give me a book and have such strong feelings for it if there wasn't something more to it.And so I kept reading. And then I read a line (I won't say which one) that had me picturing a lightbulb going appearing above my head. A few more pages, and my jaw dropped. A chapter after that I another line knocked me right between the eyes.
I've read Norman Vincent Peale. I've read Stephen Covey. I've pretty much read every bestselling "unlock you potential" author out there. And not one affected me like Andy Andrews did. After going through some horrendous things in my life, it was as if I'd been asleep and was awaken.
Highly Recommend. In fact, when Amazon put the ebook version on sale, I purchased the ebook so that I can pass the book on to someone else who might need it.

Great book. This is a great book for anyone trying to boast their confidence and reassure their path or even just trying to find their path. It's also especially great for men since it is written by a male and can relate to men that would not make them feel like its a self help book that so many shy away from if they know it has the type of stigmatism attach to it. Its a great financial resource for inspiration for both men and women. I found it to be astounding for myself and passed it on to several of my friends on both sides of the gender track. I set up a notebook and followed the plan and it brought me out of a great slump I was going through. Even though I have set that aside for a little bit his words remain in my head and still work to remind me and that too keeps me focus enough to keep pushing forward and not falling backwards. Even though I am not fully engaging it all the lessons it still has a lasting impact until I get back fully on to keeping what I started with that notebook and that has to say a lot about a book that brings a topic of help to it's readers.
This book is a MUST READ for anyone “Pondering “ their destiny. The Seven Decisions definitely can and should be applied as you travel forward on your life’s journey. The book was extremely well written and was hard to put down. It is now a permanent part of my library and will be read again and again. To quote one of the inspiring “characters” David Ponder meets in his journey, “Today I will choose to be happy and express gratitude.” I read this book to my fiancé and he and I are grateful to Andy Andrews for sharing his gift of writing and these remarkable Seven Decisions.
Little did I know that the offhand suggestion to read this book (which I promptly looked up and purchased for kindle) would change the perspective of everything in life. With a little faith; history, sacrifice, determination and the willingness to change for the better, the decisions outlined in this book come naturally, almost from a familiar friend. I’m less than a week into Gabriel’s challenge and my peers, staff and leadership have noticed that it’s not the same old team leader walking in every morning. Things weren’t bad before, but they’re going to get a whole lot better.
Andy Andrews never disappoints! I love his imaginative style of story telling while sharing principles . Humans have and always will face challenges, we have a choice how we will respond. What those before us have chosen has shaped the world, that same responsibility lies within our choices.Andy stirs the imagination and encourages the heart. I buy his books in multiple formats, I love to listen to Andy narrate his books, while I drive. allows me to have them where ever I am and the real book- ahhh I love technology but there will always be something special about holding a book while you read.
I'm a big fan of Andy Andrews. I've read some of this books (The Heart Mender, How do you Kill 11 Million People, and the Noticer). I loved all of them. This book was good, but I didn't enjoy it as much. I felt like the others (maybe excluding 11 Million) had more story to them. They still included valuable lessons and principles, but they were weaved in more smoothly. I felt like the 7 principles could have been laid out in a shorter, simpler format with similar affect and less to read. With that said, I've followed Andy Andrews for a while and most of the "visits" in this book I'd heard in one way or another from him over the years. So none were that eye-opening. But the principle are valuable and helpful. It was a quick read for me and I'm glad I read it. Just not my favorite, but his other books rank very high for me so that's a high bar to reach.
This is a book that every person could benefit from reading. It was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. If you want a perspective change, a new outlook on life, a pick me up, or some inspiration this is a book for you. It is a short read yet took me a while to get through because I really took the time to let it sink in. Even once you are done reading it stays with you if you read the gifts every day like it recommends.
This book can really cause a change for good in your life. I know it did for me.
